One Room Challenge {W1}: Redoing our Laundry Room

Hi everybody! I’m so sorry I have been MIA lately. If you read my last post you know my mind has been in about million places. If your looking for an update here you go: Nothing. Nada. Zero Info.  I know nothing more and that’s okay.  I guess I’m getting use to not know what the heck our next chapter holds! 😂 About a month ago we had a realtor come look at our house so we could make sure our house was ready to put on the market.  If we put it on the market... the only big thing they recommended doing was painting our laundry room.

Terrible, right?! Now I have wanted to redo this room for over a year but I knew it would be no easy undertaking. I also knew it would be a lot of work for Tall Tan Man. Last year I participated in the 6 week One Room Challenge and redid our entry room. I loved having a deadline and goal every week. So when Tall Tan Man said we should redo the room and not just paint it I was SO excited.  I’m was also nervous to take on this room because it is in terrible shape. We are trying to keep our all in budget at $500. Which means no hiring out anything and getting realllllly creative with fixing it up. #fakeittillyoumakeit
Now, TTM is super talented but we do have different ideas and timelines. Working on big projects with your spouse can be interesting.  Or maybe that is just us...  So far we have only had one tiff about the design plan and thankfully TTM didn’t mean it when he said “I don’t know why we even started this.” 😂  Last night he actually said we should of done this project a year ago!  Alright, enough back story. Gross... dingy... weird... unsafe?  I feel it is important to note that no children were harmed in the taking of these photos.  
Our laundry room is pretty decent size, about 7 ft x 11 ft.  It is almost impossible to take a good picture of the entire room so you'll have to bear with me.  I have some ideas of what I want to do or what I would love the room to look like.  Now don't forget we have a budget smaller than my 30 week pregnant bladder.  I'm crossing my fingers and toes we come out on the other side of this with a beautiful laundry room!

I am excited/nervous to see where this project takes us.  I keep telling myself that the room can't get worse...  It can only get better!!!  Buh bye yellow floral wall paper!
