Hi ya'll! I hope you are having a great weekend! I am sitting in a hotel in Fayetville, AR waiting for the OU/fsu game to start {so nervous}. My Mom and I drove up here to see my baby razorback brother. I wanted to bring him some cookies, and this recipe looked too good to pass up! I found this recipe on Tasty Kitchen by Mel from Mel's Kitchen Cafe Here is what you will need:
- 2 1/2 Sticks of butter
- 1-¼ cup Brown Sugar
- 1-¼ cup Sugar
- 3 whole Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2-½ cups White Whole Wheat Flour
- 1-¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1-¼ teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1-¼ teaspoon Salt
- 2-½ cups Quick Oats
- 2-½ cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Add eggs and vanilla, mix until well combined. Slowly add the flour until well combined. Add baking powder, soda, salt, and oats. Mix until well combined.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Now...I am a little ashamed to write this. I consider myself a some what healthy person, but I was not the night I made these. I had a complete collapse. I just could not make myself stop eating the cookie dough...I ate so much of it I decided I didn't need to eat dinner. :) Meal replacement right?! Needless to say, I felt sick for the rest of the night. It made me laugh when I noticed this written on the back of the flour...
I should of listened to the flour. Oops. If you are looking for a new cookie recipe to try {or dinner...} these cookies were fabulous.
Mmmmmmmmm......
