You know those nightmares when you're trying to get ready and you're moving in slow motion? Like it’s impossible to get your socks on or make copies for a presentation. Welcome to Leslie’s week 5 of the One Room Challenge. π€ͺ I’m going to blame this on the Halloween craziness and an emotional two year old. Is this just me or was last week nuts?! ππΌ♀️
I really wanted to get more done this week but it's ok, because we have ONE MORE WEEK! This week was all about getting some missing puzzle pieces. I reeeally wanted a big comfy chair for the room, because this room is huge... and who doesn’t love a big chair? My one problem, the budget... budgets aren’t fun but they do stretch your creativity! I decided I wanted a chair for about $50. Jokes on me, right?! π
Wrong!
I STOLE {not literally} this chair for $50! ππΌ. I made sure of a couple things before purchasing it on Facebook Marketplace: non smokers, good shape and from a nice neighborhood. That might sound snobby/mean/wrong but I wanted a nice chair. This chair isn’t perfect. It needs to be cleaned which is on my to do list for when my mom is here next month. π Get excited mom!!!
The faux fireplace was something I really wanted Tan Tan Man to build and I had to do some major convincing for him to do it. Tall Tan Man wants everything to serve a purpose and pretty isn’t a purpose to him. Thankfully, he loves me enough to buy into my crazy ideas! It still needs some type of insert {ideas please!} and decor, but it’s totally gorgeous!
Thanks honey! Last thing I did this week was hang this painting I got from my Grandad. It was painted by my Great Great Aunt Jewell. It will eventually make its way up stairs when I know my boys won’t destroy it... or I have a space they are not allowed in. π€£
