DIY Farmhouse Fall Wreath

I know, I know... It is still AUGUST but I can't help it!  I love FALL and couldn't wait any longer to start decorating our front porch.  #ineedmoredicipline I already picked up this welcome mat from Kirkland's and it is selling out like hot cakes.

I wanted to make a fallish wreath that I could get away with during August... without our neighbors thinking I'm crazy.  #ormorecrazy  I didn't use reds or oranges, and by keeping it neutral I think I achieved my goal!  All the supplies for this wreath are from Hobby Lobby.  Their sales/coupons brought my cost down to about $20 {I already had the wreath & floral wire}.

DIY Farmhouse Fall Wreath

Supplies:

Wreath
3 Cotton Stems
Gather Sign
Scissors
Floral Wire

Directions:

1.  First take your cotton stems and rip/cut the different sections apart.

2.  Find the bottom center of your wreath and arrange the cotton stems facing away from each other.  Once you get the look you want secure with the floral wire.

3.  Attach the "gather" sign slightly under the cotton stems to hide the floral wire.  You will also have to attach the "t" or "h" with floral wire to the top of the wreath.

What do you think of my pre-fall wreath?  It makes me want to sit on the couch all day, and eat queso while watching college football. Buuuuuuuut instead I'll be wrangling a 19 month old.  Just living my best life! :)

  2. I love it! I just love the simplicity of it but it makes a statement. Love anything with cotton stems on it! Pinned to my I Love Wreaths board.

  4. I love the massive scale of this wreath Leslie! I thought it was much smaller until I saw it against the door - it's stunning! xx
