My Favorite Spinach Smoothie {don't be scared}
Please do not be scared by the title, and for your own good stop making that grossed out face :). I have been reading a lot about spinach in smoothies, I decided to give it a try. I was extremely hesitant...but it is hard to look past that one cup of fresh spinach has:
7 calories
0g Fat
1g Fiber
1g Protein
0g Sugar
TONS (yes, that is mathematical) of Vitamin A & C
For this smoothie you will need:
1/3 Cup of Plain 0% Fat Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Fresh Strawberries, Chopped
1 Small Banana, Sliced
1 Cup Fresh Spinach
1 Truvia Packet
Couple Ice Cubes
Place everything in a blender, and blend away! I have a baby blender...
This was a picture from the first time I made this smoothie. I very quickly found out my baby blender could not handle all of this at once. So I start with the yogurt and strawberries, and then I add one ingredient at a time. :) You cannot even taste the spinach, and you get all the wonderful nutrients!
Now just add a pool...
