Oreo Balls

Oreo Balls are yummy!!!  I made these for the BBQ I had last weekend.  I thought this tasty dessert was common knowledge, but some people had never heard of it!  I was shocked (I guess I am a little dessert obsessed).  One of my Tall Tan Man's teammates asked me how I got the Oreo taste inside the white chocolate.  Not going to lie...that comment made me giggle.  :)

The Goods:
  • 1 Container Oreo Cookies
  • 1-8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 Package Almond Bark, I prefer using the white chocolate
In a blender or food processor, pulse Oreos until they are in crumbles (not powder).   In a mixer, combine the crumbled Oreos and cream cheese.  Mix until you can see no chunks of cream cheese.

Using a cookie scoop, scoop out mixture into your hands (about 1 rounded TBSP).

Roll the mixture until it looks like this:

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes on a baking sheet that is covered with wax paper.

Follow the directions to melt the almond bark.  I typically melt it in a microwavable bowl for about 45 seconds, and then increments of 15 seconds.  BE very careful not to BURN the almond bark.  I know from experience...it is a mess that ends in tears (drama queen) frustration, and a trip to the store to buy more!

Now using a tooth pick, dip the Oreo ball in the melted almond bark.  I use a spoon to help with this process.
I go ahead and take the tooth pick out while the chocolate is still warm.  A little hole will be left, but you can dab the top of the Oreo Ball with a spoon.

With all the hecticness of the BBQ I forgot to take an after picture. :(  I was hoping that I would have one or two left over, but these are too darn good for that to happen!   I almost made another batch to take an after picture, but my bikini told me not to.  You can make these look fancy if you drizzle melted chocolate on them!

Grace, peace, and be sure to enjoy some sweets!
