I have a wonderful Mother! I am so blessed to have a woman in my life that I can look up to and aspire to be. Here we are at our favorite restaurant this weekend! Yes, I am extremely sunburned...whoops.
I made coasters a while back for a friend's bridal shower. She loves music and was soon becoming Mrs. Ferguson.
I had seen these made on a bunch of different blogs. They are very easy and cheap!
- Tiles: $.87
- 12 x 12 Scrap book paper and 1 piece felt: $.75
- Mod Podge: Free
- Glue: Free
- Scissors: Free
- Pencil: Free
First Step: Line up your tile on the paper and outline.
You can fit all 4 coasters on one 12 x 12 paper.
Cut out your paper squares. I had to use a paper cutter...I am not a perfectionist so I needed help to create nice looking coasters!
Make sure your paper lines up with the tile and then slather your tile with Mod Podge.
Place the scrapbook paper on the tile and slather mod podge all over the paper. Make sure you cover the edges of the paper. It is okay if you have some bumps on the edges...Or at least I think it is okay.
Now let the mod podge dry, and repeat twice more. I wanted to make sure they were very water proof!
You are almost done! Now cut out your felt smaller than the tile. I tried using hot glue to attach but that failed epicly...Use super glue :)
Finished!
Place a ribbon around them to make a pretty presentation!
Grace, peace, and be sure to enjoy some sweets!
UPDATE:
You will need to spray these with a sealer to waterproof them! :)
